Celebrate National Library Week with YPL: April 8 - April 12, 2024 free “Open House Events” all week long Anytime throughout the week: (a) Book-end Art(Adults/Teens/Kids) -Decorate/paint a book-end for your personal library & one for YPL to use on its shelves too, while supplies last.
(b) “Read-alike” & "Featured Authors" Area(Adults/Teens) -Leisurely browse & discover some lesser-known authors that'll become your new favorites - Pick up some "Author Read Alike" book markers to take home with you for future reference
(c) Personalize your own Book Marker(Teens/Kids) -Create your very own special book marker using stickers, stamp pads, and other materials.
(d) Pick a Lollipop for a chance at a prize(Adults/Teens/Kids) -Pick a lollipop from the "tree" and win a prize if it has a dot
(e) STEM activity area(Teens/Kids) -Build with blocks, play games, create, and more independently or with friends.. Activity centers will change throughout the week.
(f) Brokenstraw Valley Historical Collection(Adults/Teens) -Browse and reminisce while viewing YPL’s collection of photos, articles, memorabilia, and more.
