The state is calling upon libraries to increase our virtual outreach, virtual e-resources, and other programming, in response to COVID - yet are cutting our state aid by 58%,

Please help fight for libraries!
Tell congress to save Library Funding and to not cut funding by 58%! Email, call, fax, or write to your representatives with your personal story about what libraries mean to you. Your voice matters. All public libraries are facing a 58% cut in the state aid allocations from what they received last year. The allocations vary per library and are based on a skewed formula. For example, Youngsville Public Library's state aid allocation was $9,000 last year but this year YPLIbrary will only receive roughly $3,752 for 2021. That's a loss of $5,222 that YPL has to try to cover -in addition to toher hits for 2021. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP, YOUR VOICE MATTERS & CAN MAKE A CHANGE |
